What is your daily spiritual practice?

September 26, 2022 by Carolyn Leave a Comment

What is your daily spiritual practice? Part of mine is picking an oracle card and journaling the message for me.

This Sunday, 2 more jumped out to join the fun.

Faith was the first, Leader jumped in front and Blessings rounded out the message.

Hmmm sounds fabulous. Then I needed to look (as always) at how I might be blocking these energies.

Faith – is easy for me – I absolutely and always believe that God has my back and that life is happening for me vs. against me. Easy one.

Leader – yikes, am I showing up as a leader? I want to and intend to. I am being vulnerable here and asking “Do you see me as a leader? If so, how? If not, how can I show up differently to support you better?” Dang, that was hard to write.

Blessings – I feel we are all connected and the more we share energy, thoughts and intentions, the more the universe showers us all with abundance and blessings.

I am blessed to be a clear channel for divine guidance. If you are looking for direction on your life’s path or next right step, I can help you.

Find a time to chat with me and my guides.

How focusing on what didn’t work blocks Intuition

January 29, 2020 by Carolyn Leave a Comment

Balance is keyThere are 5 things you must stop doing to strengthen your intuitive muscles and connect deeper to your guidance.  We talked about Forgetting to Breathe earlier.

The second way is to focus on what didn’t work.

Many people spend a lot of time talking about something that went wrong. They repeat the story of how somebody did something to them.  How they got caught in traffic and then retell the details three hours later.  They are still angry and can’t let go.

What we focus on persists.  We are amplifying that energy and we are going to continue to draw in that energy. How many times have you heard somebody say, “I’m having a bad day.” and then they tell everything that’s going on with their bad day.  And guess what happens? Throughout the day, more stuff happens. Your brain wants to prove you right, it really works hard to prove you right. So what you are focusing on is what it gives you more of.

What if you imagine your life is like a Seesaw?  If you put positive thoughts on one side and negative thoughts are on the other side, are you balanced? Are you more positive, even 51%, or do you spend the majority of your energy in negativity?

It’s a choice that we have in every single moment. We can reset the energy we live in. It’s just bringing your energy into awareness. What are you thinking about? Being aware of our reaction and thoughts if something goes wrong.  Do you immediately say, what did I do wrong? How can I fix this or is it I’ll do better next time? Can you feel the energy difference around this?

Do you feel that day to day that you’re more positive than negative? Or do you think you still have a little bit of room for improvement? When we are in that energy of what went wrong, we’re not manifesting our desires.  We are processing from our logic instead our body and can’t feel our intuition in our body.

Our body is the way we process that divine information, our bodies are the way we can figure out what steps to take. If you’re not present, you’re not able to process the information, feel the energy, and then you almost become paralyzed. You can’t decide. We all know someone who had a brilliant idea and did not take action on it because you couldn’t decide if it was right.  Then we see someone else brings our idea forth.

When you are in that negative state, you can’t make a good decision. There is a reason that that statement “fake it until you make it” is out there. Sometimes you just must decide that things are going to be okay. You have to change the energy in your wording and life. Ask what can I change to make this day better?

Try doing something nice for someone else. Meditate, go for a walk, do anything to shift the vibration you are currently in. Because when you’re focusing on the positive, the good, it shifts your energy so that you’re moving from that state where you can’t feel your emotions and are closed down and stepping into possibility.

Start to use grounded affirmations. You can write out all the affirmations that you want, but if you don’t feel them in your body, if your body doesn’t think that it’s possible, it’s really hard to manifest.   Try shifting your energy five degrees. Look at things from a slight shift in perspective.  And then everyday time try and stretch yourself into what you want instead of what you don’t want.

Soul’s Guidance vs Logic

February 27, 2019 by Carolyn Leave a Comment

Have you ever had a strong impulse to do something that logically just doesn’t make sense?

I was driving home from having dinner with a friend the other night when I felt the need to stop at this store along my way. It’s not a place that I typically go and it is probably been at least 10 years since I actually stopped there. It was getting a little late and my logic was saying “Do you need to stop now?  There’s nothing that you really need.”

I have learned to trust my intuition and my Soul‘s guidance so I stopped. As I parked my car, I remembered a man that I felt a connection to the last time I was there and wondered if he still owned the business. I saw him immediately when I walked in the store. As crazy as it sounds, he recognized me too.

I picked up something and went to pay. It turns out that he had sold the store and then recently purchased it back, but he is very rarely there as he owns another store in the town that I recently moved to. That was interesting and I wondered why I really needed to connect with him again.

As I was getting ready to pull back out onto the highway, he came running out of the store to say that he needed to talk to me. He asked me if I knew what soul connections were. I was almost speechless as I did not expect that.

He handed me his card and say that it is nice to see you, that he recognized me and wanted me to know that I’m important. The value of me being seen by someone who I had not encountered in over 10 years and honored for the energetic connection was amazing! As open as I am too soul family support, the impact of meeting this man again and having him have the courage to state the truth opened me up to a whole new level of connection.

It also made me curious if there were places where I may not be fully following my intuitive guidance. I journaled on being in gratitude for the experience and anchoring in this new way of seeing opportunities and having the courage to follow through on them.

Are you aware of any times that you have a missed an opportunity because you didn’t follow your intuition?

Let me know your stories.

Clairbeing: Being connected to the Source

February 22, 2017 by Carolyn Leave a Comment

In this final segment of the 5-part #Blog series I wrote for The Wellness Universe, Clairbeing pulls all our senses together.  #WUVIP

Clairbeing-Being-Connected-to-the-Source-by-Carolyn-McGee-TheWellnessUniverse-WUVIP-Clairbeing

We are in our final week of the 5 main ways that the Divine sends us messages. Clairvoyance is seeing messages; Clairaudience is listening to direction; Clairsentience is feeling energy and Claircognizance is knowingness.

Clairbeing is the integration of all our intuitive senses.

It is truly living and being in a receiving mode. Clairbeing is BE-ing present to receive the Clairvoyant, Clairaudient, Clairsentient and Claircognizant messages. It is staying in alignment with and open to the energy flow around us.

When I was formally learning about Angel communication the senses I trusted were Clairsentience, followed closely by Claircognizance. I was struggling to connect to and believe the messages I was receiving using my other senses. After the first week, I started to doubt that I would ever be able to see or hear messages. So, the angels blocked my knowingness and ability to feel messages. I felt lost! I didn’t realize how much I depended on those senses to connect with energy and make decisions.

After a brief panic attack, I practiced being in the moment – Clairbeing. I stopped thinking about the way I used to receive messages. I stopped second guessing myself if what I saw and heard was real. I started paying attention to what I felt, knew, saw and heard in each moment. I practiced my Clairvoyance and Clairaudience skills. Without the immediate knowing and feeling, I could see and hear clearer. All Divine information flowed richer and more vibrant. I became aware of how intertwined and connected energy flow is within me and with everything else. Once I proved to myself that I could live in the moment and connect deeply to Divine messages in all ways, my Clairsentience and Claircognizance senses returned. They still are my strongest senses, yet now I have the gift of strong Clairvoyance and Clairaudience also.

Clairbeing is integrating all our energy into the now. It is the sense that we are all one. Clairbeing is being aware. It is knowing when you are pushing versus allowing. Clairbeing is the ability to surrender to what is, versus worrying about what was or what may come.

One of my favorite examples of Clairbeing is a story from Abraham-Hicks: the short version is to imagine yourself in a boat paddling upstream in a river that has lots of rocks and is moving very fast. You are working furiously to get somewhere but are going nowhere. If you turn around and go with the flow, life become so much easier as you are not resisting and you are being fully present to all that is around you. It is easier to see the opportunities along the way as well as the obstacles. This is Clairbeing.

It is acknowledging that the best course of action is to take a nap and reset your energy so that you can allow your intuition to flow and create faster even when you are on a deadline and your ego wants to push through. Or understanding that your senses are heightened and more open to receive when you take a walk or go for a drive.

Clairbeing is understanding the importance of fueling your body with nourishing foods and drinking enough water. Our physical bodies are between 50-65% water and water is highly conductive of energy. When we do not drink adequate water our reception of energetic signals is reduced.

Clairbeing allows us to be truly and completely us. Clairbeing allows us to acknowledge that there is an inner and outer reality. We have a subconscious, conscious, and superconscious aspect of ourselves and they are all divine. It is knowing that there is a gift in every experience and that everyone and everything is a child of God and a part of Divinity.

A beautiful example of Clairbeing was my ability to see my almost ex-husband as a child of God and doing the best he could during our contested divorce. Once I could be present to the moment, to feel his love for our children, I could see the Divine in him. I could be present to his feelings and motivation and not judge what he was doing. It allowed me to receive the guidance I needed to find a resolution that was beneficial to our children.

Clairbeing is the ability to love unconditionally. It is the ability to surrender to the now, to be present and to trust that all is in divine order. It is losing our own identity, boundaries, and judgments about us versus them and me versus the universe.

Clairbeing is acknowledging that we are all one. There is no separation. Clairbeing is living and being connected to the Divine in every moment.

Claircognizance: The Gut Feeling Message

February 15, 2017 by Carolyn Leave a Comment

In part 4 of this 5-part #Blog series I wrote for The Wellness Universe, we explore the knowingness of Claircognizance.  #WUVIP

Claircognizance-The-Gut-feeling-message-by-Carolyn-McGee-TheWellnessUniverse-WUVIP-ClaircognizanceWe are in week 4 of the 5 main ways that the Divine sends us messages. Clairvoyance is seeing messages, Clairaudience is listening to direction, and Clairsentience is the feeling of energy. We will close out our series next week with Clairbeing.

This week we will focus on Claircognizance or the knowing sense. It is that light bulb that goes off and gives us an immediate answer or feeling about something. Sometimes the knowingness hits us so fast that we can miss it or start to doubt it. Pay attention to those first and powerful intuitive hits as it is the Divine sending you information. Take a deep breath and pause when you get a “feeling” about something so that your brain can register how your body is reacting and acknowledge the information.

Claircognizance is the sense that you just know deep in your core that something is true. You cannot explain it or explain it away. It is just is.

There is a reason that a first impression is talked about so much. We do have this immediate knowingness about people and situations. Many years ago, my boss told me to hire someone that I just didn’t feel comfortable with. She had excellent qualifications, but from the first time I met her, I knew that something was not right about her. A year later when I went out on maternity leave, she tried to discredit me and take my job. I had immediately felt her lack of integrity but didn’t know how to explain that to my boss. It was a big lesson in trusting what I know to be true vs. what was being told to me.

If you are having difficulty believing your Claircognizance, one way to prove you are accurate in your interpretation of divine guidance is to keep a journal or a chart to track your gut feelings and then go back to review it after further interactions with the person, event or place. You will be amazed how accurate your intuitive sense is! This will also give you proof that your instincts are correct.

One of my favorite TV characters is Gibbs from NCIS. The trait I love the most about him is how he follows his knowingness guidance. He is famous for following his gut instincts or Claircognizance. He knows his gut feelings are correct. He has a history of being right and it has been proven to the people who work with him and respect him that it is a mistake to not follow Gibbs’ gut instinct.

Claircognizant information often will come to us when we are doing something else such as driving or walking. It may feel like a great awareness that comes to you seemingly out of nowhere. It may feel like you just plugged into the universe for a download. Or perhaps, you suddenly just know the answer to a question you have been asking.

Claircognizant messages will be extremely clear and quick. It is as if someone yelled the answer in your ear or held up a sign except you will feel and know it in your body.

When I was looking for a home many years ago, I had done lots of research and visited many homes. None of them felt right. When I walked into the foyer of my home, I KNEW that it was my home. There was a sense of rightness, comfort, and coming home. I had got this information before I walked 3 steps into the house. I couldn’t explain what I knew other than it was the home where my kids and I would be happy (and we were).

Since I was a small child, I just knew things. I knew if someone was telling the truth, if there was more to the story, if something was good for me or not. I didn’t always trust or follow this guidance, but I knew it. As I started to trust my intuition and divine connection more, I could depend on this Claircognizance sense to make more and better decisions.

You also, “know what you know.” The more you honor your inner knowingness, practice your faith muscle and trust what you know without needing a reason, the faster and clearer your Claircognizance messages will be.

Our final sense, Clairbeing is living and being connected to the Divine in every moment. Stay tuned for the finale of this series next week!

Clairsentience: Understanding Feeling Guidance

February 8, 2017 by Carolyn Leave a Comment

In part 3 of this 5-part #Blog series I wrote for The Wellness Universe, we explore the feeling sense of Clairsentience.  #WUVIP

Clairsentience-Understanding-Feeling-Guidance-by-Carolyn-McGee-TheWellnessUniverse-WUVIP-Clairsentience

As a quick review, we have discussed 2 of the 5 main ways that the Angels give us guidance; Clairvoyance is seeing messages, Clairaudience is listening to direction, Claircognizance and Clairbeing will be covered in the coming weeks.

Today, we will focus on Clairsentience or the feeling of energy and messages.

Clairsentience is how our bodies react to the energy in and around us. It is associated with empathy.

As mentioned in the first two blogs, the Angels/Divine will provide clear and supportive guidance to us anytime we ask. The Angels are here to serve us and no question is considered too small. I ask the Divine for guidance about everything!

If I am going to a pot luck dinner, I ask what food is best to bring. I feel in my body what I want and know that this is what is best to bring. I find that whatever food I was guided to bring is a conversation starter or the only food that someone can eat.

Clairsentience has helped me decide how to dress. I will ask about what to wear to networking events so that I show up as my best self and allow the people that I am here to serve to see me as they need to. When teaching a class on Angel Communication as part of an all-day series of workshops, I was feeling like I should wear a long colorful print skirt. It was very long and I was afraid that I would trip over it. I followed my feeling that it was the right outfit to wear and I had many people talk to me and comment about my skirt. One lady said she only took my class because she liked my skirt. She learned a lot about how to trust her divine guidance that she never would have received if I didn’t follow my feeling that I needed to wear that skirt!

Another example of clairsentience is if you walk into a room and feel the atmosphere is heavy or uncomfortable.

You are picking up on the energy from people or situations. Learn to trust and ask questions based on how you feel in these situations. I worked in corporate for many years and was highly successful in negotiations by trusting the energy of safe/hiding something when I would enter a conference room. I could “read” if the people I was negotiating with were being honest or not.

If you feel uncomfortable or overwhelmed being in crowds such as the mall or large events, it may be because you are feeling everyone one else’s energy and not properly protecting your own energy. Clairsentience can also be if you are around someone who is in pain and you feel the pain in the same place in your body. Or perhaps you feel sad and then realize you are feeling the sadness of someone close to you.

Being clairsentient, or highly empathic, you can feel everyone else’s energy and it can be confusing. I have learned to take a baseline measurement of my energy and how I feel before I attend large events or visit friends, so I know if what I am feeling is my energy or the energy of someone else.

If you get an uncomfortable feeling in your stomach, pay attention to what your “gut” is telling you. If your heart or chest hurts when you think of someone or an experience evaluate if that person or experience is good for you. Start to pay close attention to the feelings in your solar plexus area when you talk about, think of, or experience things. If you feel uncomfortable then that is a message to further evaluate the situation. If you feel expansion or joy, then follow that bliss.

If you want to know if something is in your highest good, then hold it to your heart. If it cannot be picked up, then write it on a piece of paper and hold the paper to your heart. Notice how it makes your heart feel. Does your heart feel full and happy? Or does your heart feel constricted or sad? This will give you messages to help you make healthy and aware choices.

When all the hairs on your arm stand up to make you aware, you are experiencing clairsentience. Our skin is our largest sensory organ and will provide amazing feedback. Notice what you are thinking or experiencing if you get “chills” or goosebumps. Does your skin seem to glow when you are happy? Your skin can provide wonderful clues to what is in your highest good.

You will feel message in your body in a manner unique to you. For example, when something is good for me or it is in my highest good, my face feels flushed or full on my right cheek. When it is not in my highest good then my left cheek feels flushed and full.

We all will experience this wonderful feeling sense in a manner that is special to us. Once you start to recognize how your body sends you messages, you have a built-in radar system to help you make informed choices!

Next time I will provide more details on Claircognizance, the “I just know it” message

Divine Messages Through Clairvoyance

January 25, 2017 by Carolyn Leave a Comment

In part 1 of this 5-part #Blog series I wrote for The Wellness Universe, I share how the Divine shows us messages through clairvoyance.  #WUVIP

WDivine-Messages-Through-Clairvoyance-by-Carolyn-McGee-TheWellnessUniverse-WUVIP-Clairvoyancee are surrounded by loving guidance that is waiting to be recognized by us. Our Angels/the Divine devotedly support our growth by

providing messages to make our chosen path clear and easy. Imagine it as step by step directions towards our life goals. These messages are for our highest good to allow us to flourish in our life’s purpose and mission with ease and grace. There are five main ways that our Angels and Divine energy provide us with messages. They are Clairvoyance, Clairaudience, Clairsentience, Claircognizance, and Clairbeing. Over the next five weeks, we will explore them all.

Clairvoyance means that we receive the guidance or message through some type of image.

This image does not need to be seen with our physical eyes although it may be.

One of my earliest childhood memories is of laying in the grass and looking up at the clouds. I would watch the clouds shift from one magical image to another without understanding that there was a reason for the images. Now, I know that the image I see is a message to me. For example, I often see an elephant in the clouds. This can be a reminder to not forget something (elephants never forget) or to let me know that I am not alone with whatever I am thinking of. Elephants are highly social animals and community is an integral part of their life. Ganesh, the elephant-headed Ascended Master, is a guide of mine. He shows up to help clear blocks and remove obstacles.

Clairvoyant messages may be shown to you through an animal consistently being seen. It may be that you repeatedly see a cardinal – a sign that you need to balance your spiritual and physical energies. Or perhaps you see a butterfly on posters, movies, coffee cups – this is a confirmation that you are transforming your energy. I noticed a toad sitting near a plant on my back deck. I knew he had a message for me but I did not allow time for it to be received or to look it up. That toad stayed on my deck for over a week until I meditated on his message. Funny enough, it was to focus my energy on my divine mission and not get distracted. The next time I went outside he was gone!

Another way you may receive clairvoyant messages is through your dreams. The images or events in your dreams can provide clues to a message for you. It may be a color that repeats or a person that represents something to you. Dreams are not literal and it can be like solving a riddle to figure out the entire message. Keep a dream journal by your bed. As soon as you wake up, jot down a few notes about your dream and you can use the dream notes like puzzle pieces to fit together what the messages are for you.

You may also see repetitive numbers. This is the Divine’s way of drawing your attention to the significance and vibration of those numbers. Start to notice if there are any numbers that you see on a regular basis. Doreen Virtue has a wonderful book called “Angel Numbers 101”. It can get you started on the energy of certain numbers until you feel confident that you understand the personal message. I consistently saw 911 and thought that it was an indication that what I was thinking was an emergency. Once I remembered that my divorce date was also 9/11, I realized that the messages were about new beginnings.

Numbers can also be a simple answer to a prayer. I once asked the Divine how much I should charge for something and requested a clear, repetitive answer. Within a minute, I drove by exit 33, saw a truck with 33 in the license plate and passed a billboard with the number 33 on it. Answer received!

Maybe you keep noticing something in your environment. Pay attention to what your eye is drawn to when you walk in a room. Or take a few moments to meditate and when you open your eyes notice what your eyes are drawn to as soon as you open them. It could be a picture or an actual object that catches your eye. What is the first thing that you think of when you look at that object? That will be your message from your Angels.

The Divine will send you the message in a way that makes sense to you. They will tune into your intuitive language to show you images that make sense to you based on your history and beliefs. The more we pay attention to this guidance, the clearer the messages become.

Next week we will delve into part two of this series, hearing spirit communication, also known as Clairaudience.

Life Guided By Spirit in 7 Easy Steps

September 14, 2016 by Carolyn Leave a Comment

In this #Blog post I wrote for The Wellness Universe, I share how easy it is to live a life guided by Spirit. #WUVIP

Life-Guided-by-Spirit-in-7-Easy-Steps-by-Carolyn-McGee-TheWellnessUniverse-WUVIP-SpiritLife is a series of choices. Each instant we get to be in that moment, reflect, or live in the past or project into the future. How do you make your choices? Are you aware of what energy you are in when you choose?

For many years I lived very logically, not trusting spiritual input in my choices. I thought out my options in a very analytical way. I found time and time again, that my logical decisions were often not the best for me. I realized that I knew on some level the choices I was making were not in my highest good, yet I ignored that part of me that reached out to guide me on a better path. I knew that there was more information available to me if I would just accept it. As I believed my intuition and connection to divine wisdom, my life flowed easier and with more grace. I had the energy to take inspired actions with better results.

I now live my life connected to my inner guidance, making empowered actions and feeling peace with each decision.

My seven steps to living a life guided by spirit are:

  1. Feel signals from your body to access higher wisdom. Take 7 deep breaths in through your nose and out your mouth. As you breathe; relax and feel the sensation in your body. Feel your energy flow from your toes to your head. As you bring your awareness to how your body connects with your breath, you will feel where you are out of alignment with spirit so that you feel a healthier flow of energy.
  2. Make friends with negative emotions. A beautiful part of the human experience is feeling our not so pleasant emotions. We often are quick to bury emotions like anxiety, yet without the shadow of these emotions, how would we see the joy and light of their opposites? By shining the light of acknowledgment on these negative aspects, we give them permission to heal and grow so that we feel the delight in all aspects of ourselves.
  3. The gift of no! Make authentic and empowered choices by saying no with compassion. Release the need to always say yes and understand that you are offering an opportunity to the person you say no to by allowing them to step into their divine power. This is a gift to yourself and to the person receiving the no.
  4. Divine awareness of self. Make choices from your heart. Write a statement or question on a piece of paper and hold it to your heart. How does it make you feel? Does your heart expand? Or does your heart and body want to shrink away from the paper? This will give you clear guidance on if this choice is in your highest good and peace in your decisions.
  5. Clear awareness of divine in your world. Start to notice and track all the synchronicities and coincidences in your life. Then, ask for something and acknowledge it when it shows up. Notice how easy it is to connect to spirit and manifest a tranquil life.
  6. Awe, mystery, and magic. Remember the child-like wonder of a beautiful sunset, a flower opening or an ice cream. View all events through the lens of wonder. The more grateful we are, the quicker we recognize the magic in every day, the more and quicker it will show up so that we are living the life of our dreams.
  7. Deep and trusting connection to spirit. This is where practice makes perfect. Create a daily practice to connect with spirit. Put this practice into action and model your easy and graceful life to others. The more you trust, the more positive results and “instant” manifestations you will have.

Following these steps has connected me deeper to spirit, enhanced my trust, and sharpened my awareness of answers to my requests. The more I practice, the easier it is to take inspired action on the guidance as I have positive tangible evidence of the benefits of living life guided by spirit. I invite you to practice and create your own easy and joyful life!
