Healing Through The Heart: Being Present to our gifts

Finch-dream-symbolMany of you know that I also own a pet care company.  One of my employees had to have emergency surgery a few days ago and as I walked out of my home that night to cover her doggy late night visit a tiny bird flew into my home.  I just knew she was a baby finch.

She floated around the entranceway and landed on the steps.  She looked at me as if to say “What now?” and hopped up five steps cautiously and curiously. We had a sweet moment of connection, happiness and peace.  Then my cat discovered her.

The bird frantically flew around the entranceway and I tried to escort her out and keep my cat in. That did not work so well. Around this point in time the dog started to bark (he was already safely in his crate as I was going out) and my other cat came out and started to also stalk the bird.

I found myself caught up in the chaos of cats chasing bird to the symphony of dog barks.  I lost my connection to presence and became a bit frantic.  I played crazy interference between the cats and the bird.

Then I remembered I can communicate with animals and call on my angels.   So, I took a deep breath, asked the angels for help and promised the bird that I would help her if she would find a place to roost.  A few moments later, the bird settled into a tiny space near the TV. I was able to pick her up gently in a napkin and release her outside.

Peace reigned again …..  The dog settled down, although the cats did give me the stink eye for taking away their toy.

When I returned from my dog visit, I spent more time with the message from my finch friend.  I was not surprised to find that finches are here to remind us of the importance of joy, appreciation, positivity and simplicity.  Also, to add variety to our daily life and enjoy all the milestones in life instead of focusing on the end result.

Finch loves to dance through life and invited me and all of you to have fun and celebrate each moment.

Clairbeing: Being connected to the Source

In this final segment of the 5-part #Blog series I wrote for The Wellness Universe, Clairbeing pulls all our senses together.  #WUVIP

We are in our final week of the 5 main ways that the Divine sends us messages. Clairvoyance is seeing messages; Clairaudience is listening to direction; Clairsentience is feeling energy and Claircognizance is knowingness.

Clairbeing is the integration of all our intuitive senses.

It is truly living and being in a receiving mode. Clairbeing is BE-ing present to receive the Clairvoyant, Clairaudient, Clairsentient and Claircognizant messages. It is staying in alignment with and open to the energy flow around us.

When I was formally learning about Angel communication the senses I trusted were Clairsentience, followed closely by Claircognizance. I was struggling to connect to and believe the messages I was receiving using my other senses. After the first week, I started to doubt that I would ever be able to see or hear messages. So, the angels blocked my knowingness and ability to feel messages. I felt lost! I didn’t realize how much I depended on those senses to connect with energy and make decisions.

After a brief panic attack, I practiced being in the moment – Clairbeing. I stopped thinking about the way I used to receive messages. I stopped second guessing myself if what I saw and heard was real. I started paying attention to what I felt, knew, saw and heard in each moment. I practiced my Clairvoyance and Clairaudience skills. Without the immediate knowing and feeling, I could see and hear clearer. All Divine information flowed richer and more vibrant. I became aware of how intertwined and connected energy flow is within me and with everything else. Once I proved to myself that I could live in the moment and connect deeply to Divine messages in all ways, my Clairsentience and Claircognizance senses returned. They still are my strongest senses, yet now I have the gift of strong Clairvoyance and Clairaudience also.

Clairbeing is integrating all our energy into the now. It is the sense that we are all one. Clairbeing is being aware. It is knowing when you are pushing versus allowing. Clairbeing is the ability to surrender to what is, versus worrying about what was or what may come.

One of my favorite examples of Clairbeing is a story from Abraham-Hicks: the short version is to imagine yourself in a boat paddling upstream in a river that has lots of rocks and is moving very fast. You are working furiously to get somewhere but are going nowhere. If you turn around and go with the flow, life become so much easier as you are not resisting and you are being fully present to all that is around you. It is easier to see the opportunities along the way as well as the obstacles. This is Clairbeing.

It is acknowledging that the best course of action is to take a nap and reset your energy so that you can allow your intuition to flow and create faster even when you are on a deadline and your ego wants to push through. Or understanding that your senses are heightened and more open to receive when you take a walk or go for a drive.

Clairbeing is understanding the importance of fueling your body with nourishing foods and drinking enough water. Our physical bodies are between 50-65% water and water is highly conductive of energy. When we do not drink adequate water our reception of energetic signals is reduced.

Clairbeing allows us to be truly and completely us. Clairbeing allows us to acknowledge that there is an inner and outer reality. We have a subconscious, conscious, and superconscious aspect of ourselves and they are all divine. It is knowing that there is a gift in every experience and that everyone and everything is a child of God and a part of Divinity.

A beautiful example of Clairbeing was my ability to see my almost ex-husband as a child of God and doing the best he could during our contested divorce. Once I could be present to the moment, to feel his love for our children, I could see the Divine in him. I could be present to his feelings and motivation and not judge what he was doing. It allowed me to receive the guidance I needed to find a resolution that was beneficial to our children.

Clairbeing is the ability to love unconditionally. It is the ability to surrender to the now, to be present and to trust that all is in divine order. It is losing our own identity, boundaries, and judgments about us versus them and me versus the universe.

Clairbeing is acknowledging that we are all one. There is no separation. Clairbeing is living and being connected to the Divine in every moment.

Clairsentience: Understanding Feeling Guidance

In part 3 of this 5-part #Blog series I wrote for The Wellness Universe, we explore the feeling sense of Clairsentience.  #WUVIP

As a quick review, we have discussed 2 of the 5 main ways that the Angels give us guidance; Clairvoyance is seeing messages, Clairaudience is listening to direction, Claircognizance and Clairbeing will be covered in the coming weeks.

Today, we will focus on Clairsentience or the feeling of energy and messages.

Clairsentience is how our bodies react to the energy in and around us. It is associated with empathy.

As mentioned in the first two blogs, the Angels/Divine will provide clear and supportive guidance to us anytime we ask. The Angels are here to serve us and no question is considered too small. I ask the Divine for guidance about everything!

If I am going to a pot luck dinner, I ask what food is best to bring. I feel in my body what I want and know that this is what is best to bring. I find that whatever food I was guided to bring is a conversation starter or the only food that someone can eat.

Clairsentience has helped me decide how to dress. I will ask about what to wear to networking events so that I show up as my best self and allow the people that I am here to serve to see me as they need to. When teaching a class on Angel Communication as part of an all-day series of workshops, I was feeling like I should wear a long colorful print skirt. It was very long and I was afraid that I would trip over it. I followed my feeling that it was the right outfit to wear and I had many people talk to me and comment about my skirt. One lady said she only took my class because she liked my skirt. She learned a lot about how to trust her divine guidance that she never would have received if I didn’t follow my feeling that I needed to wear that skirt!

Another example of clairsentience is if you walk into a room and feel the atmosphere is heavy or uncomfortable.

You are picking up on the energy from people or situations. Learn to trust and ask questions based on how you feel in these situations. I worked in corporate for many years and was highly successful in negotiations by trusting the energy of safe/hiding something when I would enter a conference room. I could “read” if the people I was negotiating with were being honest or not.

If you feel uncomfortable or overwhelmed being in crowds such as the mall or large events, it may be because you are feeling everyone one else’s energy and not properly protecting your own energy. Clairsentience can also be if you are around someone who is in pain and you feel the pain in the same place in your body. Or perhaps you feel sad and then realize you are feeling the sadness of someone close to you.

Being clairsentient, or highly empathic, you can feel everyone else’s energy and it can be confusing. I have learned to take a baseline measurement of my energy and how I feel before I attend large events or visit friends, so I know if what I am feeling is my energy or the energy of someone else.

If you get an uncomfortable feeling in your stomach, pay attention to what your “gut” is telling you. If your heart or chest hurts when you think of someone or an experience evaluate if that person or experience is good for you. Start to pay close attention to the feelings in your solar plexus area when you talk about, think of, or experience things. If you feel uncomfortable then that is a message to further evaluate the situation. If you feel expansion or joy, then follow that bliss.

If you want to know if something is in your highest good, then hold it to your heart. If it cannot be picked up, then write it on a piece of paper and hold the paper to your heart. Notice how it makes your heart feel. Does your heart feel full and happy? Or does your heart feel constricted or sad? This will give you messages to help you make healthy and aware choices.

When all the hairs on your arm stand up to make you aware, you are experiencing clairsentience. Our skin is our largest sensory organ and will provide amazing feedback. Notice what you are thinking or experiencing if you get “chills” or goosebumps. Does your skin seem to glow when you are happy? Your skin can provide wonderful clues to what is in your highest good.

You will feel message in your body in a manner unique to you. For example, when something is good for me or it is in my highest good, my face feels flushed or full on my right cheek. When it is not in my highest good then my left cheek feels flushed and full.

We all will experience this wonderful feeling sense in a manner that is special to us. Once you start to recognize how your body sends you messages, you have a built-in radar system to help you make informed choices!

Next time I will provide more details on Claircognizance, the “I just know it” message

Clairaudience: Hearing Spiritual Communication

In part 2 of this 5-part #Blog series I wrote for The Wellness Universe, you will learn about Clairaudience or any message that can be heard. #WUVIP

In the previous blog, I mentioned that the Angels/Divine love to provide clear and supportive guidance to us. We as humans have free will so we need to specifically ask for messages. Once we ask, there are five main ways that the Angels give us guidance; Clairvoyance, Clairaudience, Clairsentience, Claircognizance, and Clairbeing.

Today, we will focus on Clairaudience or any message that we hear.

Have you ever had the lyrics of a song stuck in your head? Maybe you wake up hearing the song on the radio or in your mind. Or every radio station you change to has the same song playing. Perhaps the chorus or one line plays repeatedly in your mind. This is an example of how the Angels are sending you clairaudient messages. Sometimes the message is the words of the chorus and other times the chorus is just the hook to get you to look up the words of the song to find the details of the message.

A few years ago, the song “Here comes the Sun” played on the radio and in my mind for weeks. I thought about a new beginning, being more positive or that it was confirmation that my choices were good, but I continued to hear the song. I knew I wasn’t getting the message. Then I remembered that this song was playing in the background of my high school “senior movie” during the photo of me and my then best friend. After college, we had a major disagreement and I was holding onto buried resentment. Once I allowed myself to feel the anger, I stopped hearing the song. When I acknowledged the message, there’s was no need for it to be repeated anymore.

The Angels will also send clairaudient messages through ordinary sounds. Start to pay attention to what you hear and the timing. If you are thinking about something and you hear an ambulance, it could be an indication that you need to hurry, to act on whatever thought was in your mind at that moment. Or if there are constant sound interruptions to what you are doing, it could indicate that you need to take a break or that you are heading down the wrong path. You need to stop and re-evaluate what you are doing.

Animals will also give you confirmations using clairaudience. Recently I was in a meeting and we were trying to decide when we would meet next and as we mentioned a time my dog barked. That indicates concurrence with the statement.

Another favorite way of receiving clairaudient messages is through people that you encounter in your daily life. For example, you walk into a room and you hear someone mention the yoga class they took last night, you turn on the radio and hear a commercial about yoga, and your best friend calls you to mention that there is a new yoga studio opening. Do you get the message that yoga is important to you?

One day, I walked into my office and a co-worker was explaining her new water bottle, I got on an elevator and people were talking about a drink more water challenge and that evening there was a TV special about the health benefits of drinking water. The message was clear that I needed to evaluate my water intake. As I consciously increased my water intake I felt my energy increase and I didn’t hear people talking about water anymore.

The Divine will also speak to you directly. The voice will have a different sound or vibration than your thoughts. It will often break in when you are thinking of something else. Pay attention to those seemingly random thoughts as they may be your angels sending you a message.

Once, I had a list for my home inspector after some insulation work was finished. I was rushing to get ready for the appointment and was thinking of what else I needed to do that day when I clearly heard “don’t forget the fans”. It was a divine reminder to ask the inspector about an area that I wasn’t sure if the contractor had insulated correctly. The fans were not on my list so I would have missed asking about them. They were not done correctly and needed a slight adjustment. Me listening to that divine voice saved the cost of having to have the inspector back again.

To help you feel confident that the voice you are hearing is spirit vs your ego pay attention to where in your head you hear divine messages. For me, when my angels or God is talking to me the voice comes from the back of my head or feels like someone is whispering behind my ear. When my ego or mind is talking, the voice comes from the forehead. Learning to distinguish and trust the spirit voice and ignore the ego voice is powerful and confirming.

As with clairvoyant guidance, the more you recognize and acknowledge the clairaudient messages the quicker and clearer they will become.

Another way we receive divine guidance is Clairsentience. I will provide details on understanding feeling guidance next week. Stay tuned!

Life Guided By Spirit in 7 Easy Steps

In this #Blog post I wrote for The Wellness Universe, I share how easy it is to live a life guided by Spirit. #WUVIP

Life-Guided-by-Spirit-in-7-Easy-Steps-by-Carolyn-McGee-TheWellnessUniverse-WUVIP-SpiritLife is a series of choices. Each instant we get to be in that moment, reflect, or live in the past or project into the future. How do you make your choices? Are you aware of what energy you are in when you choose?

For many years I lived very logically, not trusting spiritual input in my choices. I thought out my options in a very analytical way. I found time and time again, that my logical decisions were often not the best for me. I realized that I knew on some level the choices I was making were not in my highest good, yet I ignored that part of me that reached out to guide me on a better path. I knew that there was more information available to me if I would just accept it. As I believed my intuition and connection to divine wisdom, my life flowed easier and with more grace. I had the energy to take inspired actions with better results.

I now live my life connected to my inner guidance, making empowered actions and feeling peace with each decision.

My seven steps to living a life guided by spirit are:

  1. Feel signals from your body to access higher wisdom. Take 7 deep breaths in through your nose and out your mouth. As you breathe; relax and feel the sensation in your body. Feel your energy flow from your toes to your head. As you bring your awareness to how your body connects with your breath, you will feel where you are out of alignment with spirit so that you feel a healthier flow of energy.
  2. Make friends with negative emotions. A beautiful part of the human experience is feeling our not so pleasant emotions. We often are quick to bury emotions like anxiety, yet without the shadow of these emotions, how would we see the joy and light of their opposites? By shining the light of acknowledgment on these negative aspects, we give them permission to heal and grow so that we feel the delight in all aspects of ourselves.
  3. The gift of no! Make authentic and empowered choices by saying no with compassion. Release the need to always say yes and understand that you are offering an opportunity to the person you say no to by allowing them to step into their divine power. This is a gift to yourself and to the person receiving the no.
  4. Divine awareness of self. Make choices from your heart. Write a statement or question on a piece of paper and hold it to your heart. How does it make you feel? Does your heart expand? Or does your heart and body want to shrink away from the paper? This will give you clear guidance on if this choice is in your highest good and peace in your decisions.
  5. Clear awareness of divine in your world. Start to notice and track all the synchronicities and coincidences in your life. Then, ask for something and acknowledge it when it shows up. Notice how easy it is to connect to spirit and manifest a tranquil life.
  6. Awe, mystery, and magic. Remember the child-like wonder of a beautiful sunset, a flower opening or an ice cream. View all events through the lens of wonder. The more grateful we are, the quicker we recognize the magic in every day, the more and quicker it will show up so that we are living the life of our dreams.
  7. Deep and trusting connection to spirit. This is where practice makes perfect. Create a daily practice to connect with spirit. Put this practice into action and model your easy and graceful life to others. The more you trust, the more positive results and “instant” manifestations you will have.

Following these steps has connected me deeper to spirit, enhanced my trust, and sharpened my awareness of answers to my requests. The more I practice, the easier it is to take inspired action on the guidance as I have positive tangible evidence of the benefits of living life guided by spirit. I invite you to practice and create your own easy and joyful life!

Balance Your Root Chakra to Live a Happier More Connected Life.

CaptureThe Chakra’s are powerful energy centers in the physical body that resonate energy with specific intentions. Your body is able to receive and integrate the energy specific to that chakra when your chakras are in balance and healthy.

Today, we are concentrating on the Root Chakra. The Root Chakra or Muladhara is associated with the color red and its properties include confidence, intuition, survival, foundation, being grounded, belonging and unlimited physical energy.

The Root Chakra covers the area approximately from the hips to your feet. It is the largest chakra. This chakra is associated with adrenals, kidneys, muscles and arterial blood.

The Root Chakra is how we center ourselves. It is what is at the base or the root of our bodies and our connection to the divine through mother earth. When this area is healthy, we know how to be in our bodies and be present so that we are available to bring forth the energy in our bodies into reality. We are happy in our bodies and feel completely alive.

In my personal experience, Archangel Michael is associated with the Rook Chakra. Archangel Michael is foundational. He is the closest connection with God and the purest energy. He removes obstacles and helps us center. That is all energy that is critical to having a healthy Root Chakra. [Read more…]

A Meaningful Relationship with Your Angels

blog picSince I was a small child I have loved angels. I felt comforted by the ethereal images. My grandmother was a self-taught musician and played piano. Her favorite picture and now mine is of St. Cecilia, the patron saint of music, being serenaded by angels. This picture hung near the piano at my grandparents’ home and inspired my grandmother to learn to play piano.

I now have this picture hanging over the chair that I meditate in. It inspires me to connect deeper to my angelic support team.

What is my angelic support team? My experience of angels is deeper than just the gorgeous beings of light singing praises to God. I have a personal connection to angels.  [Read more…]
