There has been much talk lately about the Oscars, Will Smith’s actions and the thoughts and perceptions of folks about his actions. 

I prefer to shine a light on another part of the Oscars as I believe this particular moment provides a wonderful awareness opportunity about grace and loving-kindness.

The Best Picture presentation by Lady Gaga and Liza Minelli and the choices Lady Gaga made about how she was interacting with Liza during their moments on stage were graceful.

Lady Gaga’s words and actions represented loving-kindness, providing the space for the soulful beauty each possesses to shine through. It was a wonderful example of how one can hold the space for another to be and to support one on their journey in life. And to be in joy, in the moment, and for the moment.

If you have not seen the video of their appearance and interaction, I encourage you to do so. And when you do, reflect on how being in grace with another empowers both souls to fly with ease and joy. 

I hope you find it as inspirational as I did. It is a powerful lesson on the beauty of grace in creating loving relationships.

In last week’s email, I discussed connecting to our ancestors and the opportunity it creates for healing and charting our soul’s purpose. This is a powerful resource for discovering and living as our authentic selves.

Another empowering tool for living authentically, being in self-care, and bringing joy into our lives is connecting with others. This can be done in person or virtually, via phone, video, or live. It can be done in a group setting or one-on-one. It can be playful, serious, whatever is called on to create presence and honor the intentions of the connection.

Connecting with others empowers us to experience the fullness of humanity. This includes love, compassion, collaboration, and creating shared memories. It provides an opportunity to be ourselves in a safe and loving space and to step outside of ourselves to be that loving presence for others.

As with ancestral connections, being in a community with others facilitates opportunities for growth, learning, and perspective. There is the support of loving souls that allow us to be as we are and who can role model aspects of ourselves that we wish to access, strengthen, or heal.

There is a magical energy that comes from being in connection. We live in a flow bigger than ourselves, and we experience the potential for expanded presence, awareness, and joy.

Our souls are on a divine mission. We carry forth healing and growth opportunities from our experiences and those of our ancestors.

Support comes from a variety of places. Friends, therapists, and coaches are examples. So are nature, animals, and angels.

As angels are from the divine realm, they support our soul’s journey in a unique and special way. They help us with ancestral healing, with spiritual support, and with hearing our own divine wisdom.

There are many angels amongst us. Each serves a unique purpose. 

When you learn to call your angels in for support and divine messages, you are empowering yourself to have a team of spiritual beings providing loving guidance and protection. It is a wonderful gift available to all, including you.

Sometimes we feel internal conflicts. Sometimes we feel challenging emotions. Sometimes we don’t know the best next step.

During these times, it is important to honor your heart. It will lead you to the most authentic route for your highest good.

Honoring your heart entails being in self-care and presence. One good way to get in touch with your heart space is to be still, sit in silence, and meditate on your heart. Feel your feels, all of them, honor them, and let them teach you what you are meant to learn.

Some people use tools to help create a sacred space for this practice. This includes lighting sage, candles, or incense. It may also include putting on music, getting out in nature, or doing something creative.

One important aspect is to set a clear intention to hear your heart’s messages. Another important step is to honor all of the feelings that arise and be in observation of them. Be open to the blessed opportunities for learning, growth, and expansion. As well as healing and guidance.

When you honor your heart, you find your way to your soul’s highest good. This will help you create and reinforce a loving relationship with yourself.

Today is Valentine’s Day. A day for celebrating love and relationships. 

The most important relationship is the one you have with yourself. It is the basis on which all of your relationships function.

When you create a relationship with yourself based on love, freely and unconditionally, you are able to love others in a deep and profound way. And you do so based on a foundation of authenticity, wholeness, and reciprocity.

Being able to truly and freely love yourself comes from a place of clarity and acceptance. When you achieve clarity in your life and soul’s purpose, and do the healing work to open your intuitive guidance, you enter the flow of success in all of your relationships.

Many need guidance in learning how to honestly accept and love themselves. They need to identify and clear unhealthy patterns, blocking beliefs, and painful memories. And they need to learn how to feel and love all of their parts, every soulful piece.

You may find that this resonates with you, that you find it challenging to deeply and unconditionally love yourself. I find great joy in helping clients find their way to a life based on self-love.
