The Chakra’s are powerful energy centers in the physical body that resonate energy with specific intentions. Your body is able to receive and integrate the energy specific to that chakra when your chakras are in balance and healthy.
Today, we are concentrating on the Root Chakra. The Root Chakra or Muladhara is associated with the color red and its properties include confidence, intuition, survival, foundation, being grounded, belonging and unlimited physical energy.
The Root Chakra covers the area approximately from the hips to your feet. It is the largest chakra. This chakra is associated with adrenals, kidneys, muscles and arterial blood.
The Root Chakra is how we center ourselves. It is what is at the base or the root of our bodies and our connection to the divine through mother earth. When this area is healthy, we know how to be in our bodies and be present so that we are available to bring forth the energy in our bodies into reality. We are happy in our bodies and feel completely alive.
In my personal experience, Archangel Michael is associated with the Rook Chakra. Archangel Michael is foundational. He is the closest connection with God and the purest energy. He removes obstacles and helps us center. That is all energy that is critical to having a healthy Root Chakra.
Your Root Chakra might have too much energy if your emotions are volatile, judgmental, egotistical, selfish or greedy.
Your Root Chakra might not have enough energy if you feel restless, have a lack of energy, you have fear, a sense of unworthiness, self-doubt or shame.
To help balance your Root Chakra, follow these 3 tips.
- Use color. If there is too much energy in your Root Chakra use green, if there is too little energy use red. Sit peacefully with something red or green wrapped around your waist or on your lap. Use a scarf, a blanket or a pillow. Imagine that color being completely absorbed in and around you, clearing any debris and any negative or stuck energy.
- Touch the earth. Go barefoot and touch your feet to mother earth. Work in your garden without gloves. Touch the plants and the earth. Take a walk in nature. Hug a tree. Allow your skin to be in touch with mother earth.
- Eat grounding foods. Allow your body to absorb grounding energy through nutrition. Eat red foods like strawberries, raspberries or watermelon. Eat foods that are from the ground like a sweet potato or other root vegetables. Meat will also balance the energy in the Root Chakra. When you eat foods that make you feel connected to the earth or that have a vibrant red color it will help strengthen the Root Chakra area.
Balancing your Root Chakra will open the energy pathway to the rest of your body to help you live a happier and more connected life.
