In Celebration of Today!

spkuanyin-207x300I am not typically guided to the words on a card but today that is the case.

“A renewed sense of direction and purpose will soon manifest.” This is perfect as we enter the season of Thanksgiving and the seasons of light in December. In the “An AngelsTeach Thanksgiving” feast on Sunday, we focused on gratitude for what we have. This angel has stepped forward to reinforce this message.

As we focus on our strengths, as we give thanks for all the gifts we already have and be grateful for the lessons we have successfully completed, we open a portal to joy and light. The more we focus on the good, the stronger the light becomes.

See how bright the light is at this angel’s third eye? She looks to the past only to see how far she has come. She gives thanks for all her blessings and sends out the white light of peace and contentment for where she is.

As we spend more time BEING happy with whom we are and where we are in our journey, the future energy being shaped will be filled with higher vibrations. We do create our futures by the energy we live in now.

I invite you to be grateful, joyful and content with the perfectly imperfect person you are today. Give thanks to yourself for where you have come from and all that you have accomplished.  Do not look to the future but joyously celebrate today! The future will take care of itself.

Profound Gratitude

PurificationMany of us this week are preparing for the feast of Thanksgiving.  This great American holiday is one of profound gratitude for all we have been given and are open to receive.  This angel is stepping forward to remind us to also let go of things that no longer serve us.  Part of our preparation to give thanks and receive blessings can be to shed energy and things that are preventing us from receiving the blessing that await us.

As we release old patterns and thoughts we create space for healthier ones to fill the void.  The weight of negativity and anger can be replaced by the lightness of divine love and unconditional acceptance. 

Let us all be like this angel who is stepping out of the murky past and shedding her cloak of negativity.  She joyfully moves forward, open to the gifts that await her.

Shifting Focus

My first thought was of Reiki when I saw the image of Kuan Yin. A few days ago I spent time with college friends and explained the healing power of Reiki to them. One of my friends was open to a demonstration. She was amazed at the pulsing energy and soothing heat that flowed through my hands. The message that Kuan Yin gives us the through this card is similar. Be open to looking at things differently, don’t hold on to the same way of doing things and be calm in the face of things that don’t seem clear.

It can feel easier to look to the past for guidance and repeat the same lessons over and over again, but it really is harder. Until we shift our focus and look forward to a new way of approaching life’s choices, we are in resistance to the divine energy that is waiting to support us.

There is always divine assistance available to us. The angels are like the orbs that surround Kuan Yin, they are in every direction around us. The beads of divine light that outline her body are our link to our angels. For any choice we have to make, there is an angel waiting to guide us. All we need to do is ask.

It is good and healthy to turn and look to the past on occasion, especially when it is to see how far we have come. Then it is time to face forward and joyfully receive the new gifts that are coming to you. The road before you may not be clear but it if you walk it with the angels, it will be smooth.

GoddessOfPsychicProtectionThis week is all about communication both verbal and emotional.  I can feel the energy pouring through this angel clearing a path for whatever our heart’s and souls desire.  It is as if we are burning away the veil that hides our truth.  Our eyes, the windows to our soul, can not hide the truth.

All that we are shines though.  This is the week to speak that truth out loud.  Take a step to vocalize something that you have been holding in.  See how the energy of putting a voice to the thought moves you forward.

on-beachI had the pleasure of being on the Florida coast with college friends for 11/11/11.  It was a beautiful circle to be with friends that have accepted and loved me unconditionally for over 25 years on the day of cosmic alignment and awakening.  I meditated on the beach and allowed the ocean wind and waves to be my background music.

I felt a letting go of old ways and a door opening to new behaviors.  Old thoughts and patterns seem to lift away with the breeze and be washed away with the tide.

I felt this overwhelming peace.  I understood before that life should be peaceful…but this feeling was big – powerful – beyond what I have felt before or what I was before.  It was a shift in awareness of my connection to the world and of the world to me.

I felt love burn into my soul.  It stamped an imprint of unconditional acceptance on my heart.  It was acceptance of who I was, my journey to this point and of the path yet to be followed.  Everywhere I looked there was love.

Beautiful beginning

What a beautiful card for the unveiling of my new website!  The purple shimmers with the divine power of this lovely lady shedding her veil and stepping into her power.  The green in the upper right foretells the healing that this unveiling will bring.  The deeper gold at the base of the card feels like the riches that this community will bring as we come together and support each other. 

The white and purple lights that surround her and wisp around her face are the messages that the angels send us daily.   There is so much love and inspiration available to us if we can trust and open our hearts, mind, body and soul to the wonder that is around us.

The white flame at her third eye seems to pulse and grow stronger as I write this message.  As our community builds, so will our connection to the angels and ourselves.  By connecting like-minded people and providing a safe place for us to share experiences, our connection to the divine will become more intense.

Dealing with Grief

pineconeMy dad passed this summer and I have been dealing with his loss in a physical and spiritual way.  I lived in a different state so I didn’t see my dad as often as I would have liked to.  My dad had a speech issue as a result of a brain injury where it was difficult for him to communicate his point clearly.  I found myself wishing that I could have connected to him on a deeper level and listened more to his words of wisdom. 

I participated in a Grief Sermon with Rev. Nina Roe of AngelsTeach and she asked me why the angels were showing her a big pinecone.  I immediately knew what the message was!  We lived in North Carolina until I was 6, before my dad had the accident that took away his gift of fluent speech.  This time for me was one of simplicity. My life choices were as complicated as do I build a castle in my sandbox, should I go down the slide first or play on the swing?  My dad seemed to be healthy and my world was secure. 

I remembered that I still had a few of the big pinecones in a box in my basement.  When I found them and held one in my hand I connected back to how I felt as that small child.  I felt the profound and uncomplicated love for my dad.  I knew that nothing had really changed.  I loved my dad for all that he was to me when I was young and life was simple, I loved my dad for his support as I grew up, I loved my dad for his guidance as I started my own family and I loved my dad now.

The peace that entered my heart and spread throughout my body pushed the grief and sadness away.  I will always miss the physical presence of my dad but now I feel connected to his spirit and love in a deep and tangible way.  I have this big pinecone on my altar next to a photo of my dad to keep me grounded and connected to his unconditional and enduring love.
